Thymes sought a brand refresh with a look and feel that was artful, that celebrated their artisan perfumers' craftsmanship, that felt thoughtful and purposeful. Rather than looking too crafty or retro, we brought them a contemporary view of artful that was fresh, accessible and elevated. The brand was about discovery, how fragrance evokes memory or an enduring moment. But in that moment, after smelling a fragrance, we can't quite pinpoint the feeling or "just what it is" we are sensing and experiencing or why.  It feels familiar, yet surprising. This "in-between" was the platform for the brand.  We were also tasked with developing a new "apothecary-like" studio concept so people could experience what goes into developing a fragrance. We developed names and an identity for this studio.
